Is there any definitive news re DirecTiVo HD?

Is there any definitive news as to the status and timing of a DirecTiVo HD box? I've seen many conflicting posts, some suggesting this year, others stating not till 2010 earliest.

DirecTV themselves have said a few times that the new receiver with Tivo will not be available until 2010.

I am hoping we get our first look at it at CES. While DirecTV wont be there I am hearing Tivo will be there.

How much better are the DirecTiVo boxes better than the current HRxx series? I find it too unresponsive and slow compared to my E* setup.

Well, I was basically wondering if the old DirecTiVo boxes are better than the HR series.

The new DirecTivos will likely be based on the HR series hardware, and even if they are new boxes it's not realistic to compare the old Tivos to the DirecTV Plus DVRs to try to figure out the performance of a non-existent future box

Other than hinting at a possible slippage in the delivery schedule, there is NO definitive news.
