I am getting DirecTV installed soon, and I am going to use a 5 X 8 multiswitch. 4 lines running from the satellite, but for that 5th connection can I combine a over the air antenna I have on my roof and a cable connection for my internet? Is this something the installer will do or will I have to run a seperate line to the cable modem?

Whatever you do, DO NOT combine your cable internet line onto your satellite switch. It won't work.

Run the seperate line for your cable internet.

you will have 4 lines coming down from dish / LNB

RUN The Cable for modem seperately making sure all are grounded
