is this possible

i have a directv dvr r22

anyway, i also have a cband dish, which i like to tape stuff off

i dont want to spend dollars on a new dvr

so is it possible to modify this receiver to add some sort off aux input to tape off of?

would it be possible to add a a-b switch to the receiver, then find the trace that sends the video from the tuner, to a rca jack, to plug into my c band receiver?

simple answer....no

the DVR's only work with the tuners in the receiver
