A man in NY was arrested for broadcasting al manar (reuters reporting) In checking some satellite sites the footprints (broadcast areas in terms of reception) are all over europe, middle east and africa...

I know footprints cannot bend but how could a signal relay like that?

maybe he was streaming it from the internet to a transmitter.

HDTV Corp. broadcasted from the Amazonas satellite at 61W to the US. Where he is getting his signal originally, who knows.

Amazons I don't think still has it so I think it had to be some sort of web stream that he transmitted but I don't know how he could uplink it from there....
