I have one DPP44 switch and one DP34 switch. My Current setup is

DPP44
1) through the power pack to a 510
2) 622
3) 622
4) 612

DP34
1) 522 - 1st Tuner
2) 522 - 2nd Tuner
3) 625 - 1st Tuner
4) 625 - 2nd Tuner

I want to get a separator for the 522 so I can free up one of the lines for cable internet (and eventual upgrade to 722k).

So I tried to switch the cables connected to the power converter going to the 510 and hook it up to the DP34 and hook up the 522 1st Tuner to the power pack. The 522 was still working fine, but the 510 was not getting a signal. Could having the "510 line" hooked up to the DPP44 cause it to no longer work with the DP34? (Note: I tried the 510 on a different line hooked up to the DP34 and it worked.)

I didn't run a check switch, but it worked on DP34 without a check switch using a different cable run, so I didn't think about it. I decided to go ahead and order a second DPP44; however, because I am planning to replace the 510 with a 612 soon anyway and will need it.

However, I have a different problem now. One of my 622's that has a one line running to it from the DPP44 and has a separator lost signal to 110 and 119. When I did a check switch, it is doing 3 tests on Satellite Input #1 and 38 tests on Satellite Input #2. After the test, it is telling me #1 has a DP34 switch and #2 has a SWAJ. Has anyone ever seen this? The only thing I did was remove some cables to test which ones went to which TV's so I could label them and then put them back.

The power inserter coax MUST be connected to PORT #1 on the DPP 44!!!!!!
tone the cable you wish to connect the 522 receiver to and put THAT cable on port #1 on the DPP 44

Tone the coax where the new location of the 510 is to make sure that cable is still in working order.

Very simple.

Move the 510 feed to the Dp34
Move the 522 sat one line to the Dpp44.
Add separator to 522 feed.
Move Power inserter for Dpp44 to 522 feed now hooked up to port one on the Dpp44.
Run check switch's on all units affected by the change.
