Does DTV have some sort of purge on things your DVR? I record a bunch of kid shows on 2 HR21-700's. Randomly, things disappear without reason. Some of these programs are set not to erase unless disk is full and the disk would be around 50%.

I even had a few movies that went away after some time. Is this a settings issue?

I haven't heard / seen anything like this happening. The only thing that should delete is stuff you tell it too, or PPV moves which only last 24 hours.

Its actually quite frequent on both boxes. We do have a lot of things that record but there is way to much space to be a disk issue.

It isn't On Demand stuff from channel 1000+ stuff downloaded is it? Like Showtime or Starz On Demand even? Those items expire.

Heres a good example, I record disney's playhouse for my kids. One day there is like 14 of them. The next day they are all gone. Its totally random like that. I had 2 movies recorded from HBO. I set them not to erase and one day I went to watch them and they were both gone.

Maybe the kids deleted the stuff. Damn kids.

Nah, they are 1 and 3. Yesterday I had a show recorded (x-play) and there was like 10 of them. Today I went back and there were 3.
