say, on my 4k joey, if im scanning forward, say during a race or something, when i hit play. often times it's way past where the preview image showed it would be. i think it happens at all speeds.

super annoying, say skimming a race, want to catch the last 10 laps, hit play where i want, and it starts when the race is over doing interviews, its been this way for several weeks/months. anyone else or anyone have ideas ??

thanks

We need that 4X fast forward back!!

Amen, brother...Amen!

As for the OP...if we're being honest, Trick Play, whether Skip FWD/REV, or the regular FF/REW, has NEVER been that consistent on any of the Joeys, and it never seems to get any better. The newest Joey 3 does the same thing. Its either not a priority, or they are simply unable to figure our how to fix it to be any more consistent than it is. As long as the Joeys have been out, I've given up on it ever working consistently.

I record all F1, all divisions of NASCAR etc....It's a little tricky using FF!

I use 15X to be able to keep track of what's going on then stop & rewind for something interesting.

I use 60X to really advance thru a boring race while focusing on Yellow Flags and Laps, then hit play & rewind to whatever got my attention. It's usually not that far off if ya pay attention.

When I use 300X it's to get somewhere in the race fast but I really have to pay attention to laps and hit play usually 20 laps ahead of where I'm trying to get to then I use 15X or 60X to fine tune.

It does advance ahead of where ya try and stop when using 60X or 300X after it gets revved up...Never had this problem with DTV!

I do the same exact thing to advance. I record all F1 and divisions of NASCAR too. Also I record all Indy and NHRA races. It sure is sweet DISH finally fixed the resume while recording issue. Has made things much nicer for us.

Same here, all Races are recorded!

Here are a few of the pics I took in 1970 while in the Marine Corp with one of those cheap disposable cameras, I figure yer a Gear-Head like myself & would enjoy seeing them!
