Hi there, backfeeding the signal. What I am hoping to do is from TV 2 where the joey is coming out of joey to modulator and backfeeding it to the demarc location where I can split to the other tv's. I have seen some things online saying you cannot backfeed from Joey? Talking to Dish today they said they only have heard backfeeding from Hopper but he did not want to say it would not work as he did not know. that is the key.. do you know if that will work or anyone that might know. Set up today is cable to 722 with triplexer backfeeding signal to diplexer which splits to the TV 2 and then tv 3 so with Hopper and joey if using the modulator off joey can it backfeed to demarc area using a diplexer?

Install instructions say NO diplexers in system.

What you CAN do, is put the joey in a remote location, near your cable junction area, also install the modulator at this location and then split the signal out of the modulator to your rooms

Although not supported you could hook up the Joey either cat 5/6 or wireless then you could use the coax for the modulated signal.

Joeys can't be backfeed, using a dixplexer to a tv two could fry your node in fact. If you want to mirror the joey run the composite cables to an rf modulator and run the coax out of that to your tv 2 or splitter if you to mirror it to multiple tvs

Thanks Brian, I was told by someone to place the Joey at the demac point and split from there but will the signal going back to TV2 be HD then? or does the joey have to sit at the TV to get the HD signal?

To get HD you have to use the HDMI out port on the joey. You can find HDMI splitters but you get serious signal issues with them, HD doesn't split to well unfortunately.

If I had a work order to mirror a Joey, I would inform the customer the tv1 could get hd through HDMI if your cable is long enough to run it from your central location. The second or third tvs would be SD image only with the composite output, splitter, and the RF mod trick I mentioned earlier.

EDIT typos, working from my phone with auto correct
