Joey Warning 981

My setup is two Hoppers w/sling and one Joey. I installed both Hoppers just fine. then I went to install and download software on my joey, and I stopped at 50% restarted and went to warning 981 Boot Recovery, and sat there all night.
So I called dish and got another one sent out so I could replace it. Download stopped at 50%, restarted and got the same warning. again, it sat there all night. Before I get a third one sent out, I want to hear suggestions or ideas, the biggest thing I can imagine is either corrupted joey software on one of the Hoppers, or a bad node. I will most likely try a solo node and only one of the Hoppers to download the Joey software.

Was the hopper replaced? Try linking the joey to the other hopper. The joey isn't the problem, the hopper most likely is.

The hoppers have not been replaced. Do you think I should have dish send me two new hoppers and a new joey?

Hit the power button on the hopper don't unplug it and turn on the Joey. After about 5 minutes it should download. The problem happens to us techs and I found that if you just hit the power button on the remote 5 minutes later the Joey will finish downloading. If that doesn't work try the same technique with the other hopper.
