Here's a hypothetical :)

If E* offered a PPV channel for 27.99 / month and I add it today then cancel it two weeks from today. It would cost as follows:

14.00 (28.00 pro-rated two weeks) + 5.00 (To Downgrade Programming)

=19.00

Is this correct ?

:)

Wanting a couple of weeks of porn, eh?

For adult programming, the downgrade fee is $10.

$28/mo. (divide by two) = $14 (add downgrade fee of $10) = $24. That is almost the cost of the monthly subscription but even if you wait another couple of weeks its still going to cost you $10 to downgrade plus another $14 for the next two weeks. If you kept it on for a month it would be $28+$10 (plus sales tax of course) for a total of $38+sales tax.

technically...

Actually, technically there is a $10 "service charge" for any changes in adult programming whether it be removing OR adding. A lot of agents over the phone won't charge you to add but supposedly that's the rule. Just be aware that you might end up with 20 dollars in service charges before you even start paying for the actual programming.

Actually, that is not correct. The $10 fee is a transaction fee for downgrading (or so called side-grading). You aren't ever charged a fee for increasing the amount you are billed.

From DISH's site: "Please be advised that there is a $5.00 transaction fee for removing or changing (trading for a like priced package) programming. The fee is $10.00 for adult programming."

When I talked to one of the CSRs, I told them I wanted to add Ecstasy for one month only and wanted it cut off when one month was up. I said I should not have to pay the ten dollar downgrade fee since I am telling them to cut it off on the date one month from the date of order. They said they can't automatically turn it off, but they put a note on my account not to charge the ten dollar downgrade fee and when I called to cancel on the 29th day, they did not charge me.

Nice avatar chaddux.

To settle this once and for all 1st of all the correct answer to the original ? is $27.99 per month divided by 30 day in a month * 14 days = $13.06 + the $10 trans fee = $23.06 (which is to "remove or even exchange adult services" only) I am a dish csr and there is never any change to add on channel just to remove or even exchange services.another words you might as well keep it all month long it is cheaper.
