Hey folks,
I've noticed on Sadouns sat list that on a few of them more then 1 sat occupies the same spot i.e. 101 has 2 sats on it.
How does that work? How can 2 birds occpy the same space??
Thanks

back to the original question

DBS satellites have frequencies from 12.2-12.7
KU band is from 11.7-12.2

So since they dont clash in frequencies, there can be 2 or 3 satellites at one spot (note theyre not exactly at the same spot in orbit...but when they come down 22000 miles, its near the same spot)

Look at 91...there are 3 different bands there
C Band and KU band on Galaxy 11
Nimiq 1 & 3 have the DBS slots split up.
