I can live with that, but how does some yahoo writer from Chicago vote Jeter 6th?

He had Frank Thomas, Santana, Ortiz, all ahead of Jeter.

This idiot was on YES saying A-Rod was better in the clutch for the Yanks this year according to players he talked to. Who did he talk to? A-Rod and his agent Boras.

Yea and BB has PS3's in stock right now, so hurry on down and pick one up.. :D

This is an interesting stat from USA Today:

This just in: Players like Ryan Howard and Justin Morneau, who don't make millions a year, still have MVP potential. Also of note: The two 2006 Rookie of the Year winners' combined salaries ($1,307,000 for Detroit's Justin Verlander and Florida's Hanley Ramirez) are almost twice as much as the combined salaries Howard and Morneau. A look at the combined salaries of MVP winners since 2000:

Year MVPs Salaries
2006 Howard, Morneau $0.7M
2005 Pujols, A-Rod $37.0M
2004 Bonds, Guerrero $29.0
2003 Bonds, A-Rod $37.5M
2002 Bonds, Tejada $18.6M
2001 Bonds, Ichiro $16.0
2000 Kent, Giambi $9.1M
Salaries from USAToday.com

Absolutely the correct choice. The twins were dead in the water at the all star break when this guy started his barrage the Twins rose with him. Coming back from 12 games out was just astounding, and they would not have done it without him. Also compare the lineups surrounding him and Jeter. This makes it even more impressive. Congratulations Justin.

You all forget there was no Shefeild, Hideki, or Cano for a good part of the season as they were hurt. Jeter really came through for them every time in the clutch and had his best season ever.

Too bad they didn't do better in the playoffs. Losing a starting pitcher killed that chance.
