KCBS HD 148 v 129

Does anyone know -

I currently have 2 - 942s and get KCBS HD on sat 148. If I replace one of the 942s (MPEG 2) with a 6xx (MPEG 4) and move the second dish from sat 148 to sat 129 will the remaining 942 be able to recieve an MPEG 2 version of KCBS HD from sat 129.

No, the cbs on 129 for LA is marked as mpeg4 and will not be picked up by the 942.

Is the KCBS HD on sat 129 for LA the same as the CBS HD for distants?

In other words, is it possible to get CBS HD as a Distant Network without a second dish for 61.5 or 148? FWIW we have a 622 w/ Dish 1000 and sub to the Austin Locals where CBS is O&O.

no, only the kcbs on 148 is marked for distant.

Somehow I thought with people losing distants on Dec 1st, Dish would make it extra easy to get the CBS HD distant without the extra dish etc. Silly Me
