Keeping snow off dish

The closest I've ever got to a heater for my dish here in Minnesota is looking at prices for super soakers. Then, as someone already said the day got sunny and it all melted. I have an extension pole I can use to whack the dish if it ever stays around too long.

I can't imagine living somewhere like that- but then, in New Orleans it seemed like we'd go outside to a foot of Mosquitos, so.....

I remember a suggestion of WD40, but don't recall the verdict.

no it is oil based and will attract dust/dirt and whatever to stick to the reflector which over time will build up and gradually block enough signal to give problems.
