Has anybody plugged a USB keyboard into the Hopper, either wired or wireless? It would certainly make searches and custom lists easier. Plus, with the new social apps, it's basically a necessity.

I don't have the pandora/facebook update yet, but I have plugged a USB keyboard into the Hopper.
Keyboard is recognized. Arrow keys and numbers work, similar to remote. Enter key is Select. Alpha keys do nothing (e.g. in search). Perhaps this is changed in the update.

I hope so. Alpha keys are the reason for using a keyboard. All that other stuff can be accessed with a remote.
Just tried USB Keyboard with Facebook app. Same as before. KB works like a remote (directional keys and numbers), but no alpha keys

The Facebook app sure must be fun without alpha keys.
It's certainly not going to work for me, but back before everyone had smart phones my kids were typing quite well with the keypad on their feature phones. The remote works the same way.
Still, I agree, it's lame.
