Learning remote double pressing?

Hi I've had this problem in the past and now I'm dealing with it again.
When I program my Joey remote in learning mode only. without a device code. It double presses the buttons.
Has anybody else figured this out
The remote is the 40.0.

Yes relearn that button and press the button on the original remote for a shorter period then you did when you learned it last time... Sometimes pressing it for more then a quick touch will cause it to learn double.

I ran into this a few weeks ago when I got a new TV.
