oh
I use my satellete system to watch CCTV4 only. The LNBF is not working any more. I am not sure if I can replace it with a LNBF that is different brand/type from the original one.

The receiver is Coship CDVB 2000
The dish is 90cm

The original LNBF is a -----
DMS International Digital Ku LNBF
Part: DVB 321
input 11.7-12.2 GHZ
LO 10.750 GHZ
output 950-215- mHz
NF 0.6DB

I want to buy a new LNBF

standard Ku band linear LNBF, with
* Input Frequency Range from 11.70Ghz ~ 12.75Ghz
* Output Frequency Range from 950Mhz ~ 1450Mhz
* Local Oscillator Frequency: 10.750Ghz
* Low Phase Noise for Analog or Digital reception
* Extremely light weight; Excellent D.R.O. stability
* Extremely Low Noise Figure: 0.3 dB
* Weather-proof O-Ring and Gasket inside.

Is is going to work with my receiver and dish? Also, does brand matters? the one I am going to buy from ebay does not seem to be a named brand.

Thanks for the help!

yes it will work fine. Just replace the LNB and you'll be all set to go

CCTV is very strong so really any LNB will work

Since you are going to go to all the trouble to replace the LNB, you might consider if it would be worth the time to install a dual-output model?
That way, if you wanted to add a second receiver in the future, all you would need do is run another coax.
Then, if you were to ever want three or more receivers, to your dual-output LNB, you could add a 2x4 multiswitch, to handle four receivers.
There are also eight-output switches, should you ever want an FTA receiver in every room. - :D

SatelliteAV, Sadoun, and WSI (gold sponsors at the top of this page) all have suitable LNBs.
The primary thing to look for is STANDARD (not Universal) , so it'll have the 10750 Local Oscillator.

By the way, LNB failure is quite rare.
You sure it's not just a broken cable or connector?
Or maybe a kid hit your dish with a baseball??
