Local Channels

I live in an area of NJ where my local channels come from Philadelphia. For years I have inquired as to the possibility of receiving NY local channels. I am a NY football fan and have had to endure paying for the ticket for years. I have a neighbor who lives 6 doors down from me and told me he recieves all 4 major NY networks on his HD block of channels, 80 - 87 or something. I call Directv and they tell me it is not possible. Can someone please shed some light on this for me? I can not understand how my neighbor can receive NY and I can not. I have been a subscriber for 7 years.

Have you asked your neighbor if he has any waivers? He may be receiving the national NY feeds. Or, his "address" may be a NY one in which case D* thinks his locals are the NY locals.
