Also in today's Locast email:

"With your support, we added more than 1 million users last year, making us one of the fastest-growing live TV streaming services. Locast now has more than 2 million registered users nationwide in 26 markets – large and small – reaching nearly half of the U.S. population."
"As a reminder, there are many ways to watch Locast – at www.locast.org, app stores, TiVo, streaming service providers Google Play, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon, and ROKU, and on DISH Hopper/Wally receivers or select DIRECTV receivers."

I wonder covering over 50% of the population will habe any effect on the lawsuit from the nets. I have not heard anything about it in months. Still waiting for Portland OR.
I recall seeing somewhere that Locast is expecting the case to go to court sometime this summer. Locast so far covers the top 20 DMA's (2021 rankings) with the exception of Cleveland/Akron (19), and Portland is 21st, so there's certainly reason to hope it may be covered pretty soon.

Looks like Dish is getting involved since they own Sling.

thee app showed up on my receiver but i don't live in a market they serve wierd
The app is on the Dish Hoppers as well, whether your service address is in a Locast DMA or not. As a mobile full time RV'er, it's always nice to find we're in a location where it works on the Hopper. but otherwise we just use Locast and a VPN on our Firestick to grab the closest DMA that does have Locast service. Right now we're getting the Orlando, FL DMA on the Hopper, and when we move southwest to a different RV park tomorrow, I think we'll be getting the Tampa, FL DMA.

Even though I get several Portland translators out on the Oregon Coast, several do not have translators and I now have a backup now for the translators. Quite a bunch of Portland OTA stations. I just wish there was a DVR with it though. I set up to donate the $5 a month. Glad to support them. I hope they will last!

Take a look at Stremium.com. They offer a DVR service that works with Locast and some other streamers for $5/mo per 25 hours of recording time. Their guide can combine several streamers into a single cohesive guide.

I can confirm that Stremium works with Locast, and with Sling. They also have some FREE channels in the Stremium app. They have various levels, there's FREE (no dvr) and several paid levels depending on how many dvr hours you want.
