I'm worried trees may block line of sight from my roof to some of the sats. Suppose that turns out to be the case and I find a good spot but it's 100' back from the house. Then there might be another 25-50' of cable inside the house to the box. Can I have a coax run of 125-150' and still have enough signal?

you should be fine i have a 100 ft & 150 ft run with no problems just use quality coax probably quad shielded. also for longer runs try not to have any breaks as it creates more signal loss.

150ft of quality RG6 with quality compression fittings and connectors should work fine. Many have gone nearly double that distance with good equipment and have no significant issues.

I run approx 175 feet on one setup with very little signal loss. Good RG6 and compression connectors will help :)

Another good idea for extra long runs is to use RG-11. Downside is the cable and connectors are considerably more expensive and harder to find, and most standard compression tools won't work with them.
