This will be the first time I will setup OTA since I was a little boy.
I am around 50 miles away from 2 towers. I don't care which one but I just want all of the local

I want a attic Antenna that will connect to 5 TV's.. I bought clearstream and did a scan not in the ATTIC and I only got 12 channels and one 2 locals. What would you guys recommend without an outside antenna

One thing I noticed about your loc is you're kinda half way between Fort Myers and Tampa.

Fort Myers is a UHF only market.
Tampa has PBS CBS NBC & FOX on vhf.

So depending on what the tvfool reports we can go a couple ways. Do you want as many stations as you can get regardless of location or do you just want to get one city's locals?

To connect to five TV's like you want to do, you may want to consider using a distribution amp, much better than using a splitter, especially if it's long runs to the TVs. This is the one I use and it's been really good, I have eight TVs hooked to it. It'll keep the signal input into it at pretty much the same strength to all of the TVs.

Also, tell how much space you have in your attic. You might need a fairly large antenna, since you're some distance from both towers. We need to know how big we can go before it won't fit.

Be aware that you can lose up to 50% of your signal by having the antenna in the attic. Surrounding roofing materials can block signals.

If you tested the outdoor antenna at ground level then that would account for the poor performance as well. It should be on the roof and in the clear without any obstacles in the way. Trees are real bad at UHF.
A 5 way split will require an amp as suggested as well.

I am tagging on to this thread in hopes that I can get some help about receiving over the air channels. I have tried to create a new post but when I go to enter it it says that I can't because it has spam content and won't let me post. Anyway I am in St. Simons Island, GA which is located about 60 miles from Savannah GA, and about 60 miles from Jacksonville Fla. Is it possible to receive ota channels from this distance without putting an antenna 200 ft in the air. I really need to put it in the attic. My guess is that I am out of luck but I would just like to get ABC, NBC and CBS from either of these 2 markets. Thanks for any help.

Put your location into TVFool.com and post the bold link on the results page so people can see what conditions are like where you're located.

When I put the tvfools results on the post is when it gives me the spam comment and won't upload it.
The zip code is 31522.
I don't know where the results page is that you are referring to.

I believe you must have a certain number of posts here before you can put up links. If you PM me your tvfool link I will post it up for you. Just click my avatar then Start A Conversation. :)

I'm not really this stupid but when I click on your avatar it does not open up an email page. It takes me to your information page that I can't find an email link.
