It's happened 3 times in the last week. I check my schedule for my upcoming timers and the display reads "no info available". I've nearly missed recording shows, thank goodness for the west coast feeds.

What will cause this??

I have to do a check switch, have the receiver find the satellites, have the VIP 722 download the program guide, shut the receiver off then on, then finally all of my timers are back.

Any thoughts as to why the receiver does this.

Thanks in advance.

I have had this happen twice in about a year and a half (VIP722). I have no idea what causes it...possibly corruption of the guide data. A check switch seemed to fix the problem for me also.

Been happening to me lately as well. I have also run into a problem with old shows being recorded when "Record New" is selected, on top of having some timers corrupting and giving me a 5 hour recording for a 30 minute show. :( Hopefully it's not dying.

Your right,

I forgot to add that some older shows are mixed in with the new episodes, I have to manually choose skip each time the new schedule appears to remove old shows.. Have not had the problem of shows recording over 5hrs.

I've been having problems with my 622's program guide for a few weeks. It seems to lose it's data almost every day at around 7:00PM. A check switch always restores it for the rest of the day. I changed the update time from 3:00AM to 6:00AM, but it still loses the guide at around 7:00. It also did this for a while about a year ago and then the problem went away.

Is it still doing it everyday? If not when did it stop. Did you also have old episodes added to the new when it returned?

Thanks

It did it yesterday but not today. I have not noticed any old episodes added, but since I usually do a check switch around 7:45 before any of my timers are scheduled, I haven't lost any timers for a while.
