Ever since dish installed my current system on a dish move when power blinks off I lose 119 sat. In past I could shut power to all receivers and unplug DPP44 switch and restart every thing and all was OK until next power out. Last time I called Dish and teck support said most likely I had a bad cable. This time I ran two new cable's from switch to L&B This still did not help. After installing new cables last night I ran check switch on the 508 and it shows Odd Odd for the 110 & 119. 61.5 was OK. We can watch channels from 61.5 or 110 OK but not any 119's. If you check siginal strength it shows 119 above 100%.

I have 501, 508 & 921 receivers with a 61.5 single dish and dish 500 looking at 110 & 119. These go back to Dish pro plus 44 switch. Power inserter is on port one.

Help would be greatly appreciated. If I should send more information please let me know.

Thank You!

If this is happening to all the receivers, I suspect the DPP44 switch. Have you tried changing the satellite inputs order on the switch. You could move 110 to port 1, 119 to port 2 and 61.5 to port 4. Just to see if you may have a bad port on the switch.

I have moved 119 and 110 back and forth but nothing changed. Have not changed 61.5 as it has always worked ok. Also unplugged power to switch and all receiver during moves.

I have lost 119 on my 811 during several recent power outages. What I finally figured out was that I had to disconnect the coax satellite feed going in to ALL the receivers in my house. Unplugging the AC wouldn't fix the problem, but for some reason, once all the receivers were disconnected from the satellite feed, then I could run a check switch on the 811 and it would "see" 119 again.

I don't know if this is the same problem you are having, but that's my experience. Good luck!

Receivers are still providing voltage to the switch even when you unplug switch so disconnecting the switch and receivers resets the switch.:)

If your loosing power as much as your indirectly hinting at then I would not be surprised that the switch has been damaged by the spike from the power coming back on. All types of appliances have varying degrea's of tolerance for brown outs, spikes, outages, you name it. The one item that is generaly a good indicator of problems with spikes and with damage to your homes wiring is the light bulb so if your going through alot of them in the whole house or in specific rooms then its time to call a professional.

Get good surge suppresor strips in your home, avoid the cheap ones that they sell at radio shack at 3 for $15 because they dont work, I recommend panamax surge protectors because they do exactly what they are ment to do and that is work and I have never ever seen one fail.
