In all this excitement of getting Ku band tuned in I tried today for C band and its blank.
I knew some analog channels were going OTA but figured I could always depend on G4-16.
Now its not there either.
Only thought is that in the last few days all the switching around has killed the LNB. What a shame all I have for a replacement is a 40* one.

It's still there, got Martha Stewart on 8, the preacher on 16, and regis on 17 right now.
Might've messed up your skew or polarity...

Yea I went out and replaced the LNB
turns out the old one was a 50*
Works fine now
I guess in all this excitement the mini mag had a heart attack.
Now Ill be looking for a suitable replacement with something in the teens.
I liked the Cal amps,it was the 2nd one Ive had but dont see any for sale lately.

Always remember to power off the receiver when disconnecting those cables. Power to the LNB is always present, whether the switch is on or off. Best to unplug the cord itself.

I have a Cal Amp 35degree , sev years old- I can't tell any difference between it and the alleged 15degree cheapos I've tried. It prob has higher stability figure than the lower-temp rated ones too.

My Cal amp mini mag is a 17*
Paid a bit more for it when it just came out(replaced the 20)
but it was worth it.
I can sure tell the difference between it and the 50* echostar
thats in there now.
It blinked out once before and I had a 20 * Chaparral to use
but now thats gone so it would be nice to find a 17 or 15 Cal Amps.
I think they are still made here...surprised to see the Chaparral was Chinese.
