My grandson may be moving in with my wife and me.
I have a 32" Sony TV in the basement which is never used the grandson will reside in the basement.
So my question is what Dish receiver do you guys suggest?
I have a VIP211 with the EHD turned on and I am thinking of installing another VIP211 for the basement.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

If the basement TV is HD, then a 211.

If basement TV is standard def -- get a cheapo 311.

Well, the ViP211 solution will save the $6 DVR fee and the $4 whole house fee. Receiver fees would be the same. Is it worth $10 a month to have the common DVR pool, PTAT, EPG & UI? Or you'd rather keep them separate?

Or you can take what's behind door #3: Get a ViP722K and run a coax from TV2 out to the SDTV. Or do home distribution. Your bill would go up $6/month for DVR fee.
