Recently our Sci Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR has been acting up. At random times the DVR menu (and once it happened to the program guide) will not work. You can open the menu, but it will not scroll through the shows or let you access preferences, etc. However you can close and open the menu without any issues. To make it work, we are forced to reset the cable box. Is this a problem with the box getting older (as it only began about 2-3 months ago, never did it before, the box is about 1 1/2 - 2 yrs), or another problem? If so what could that problem be?
