Michael Jordan an NBA (part) owner-again

Jordan was a customer of mine when he lived in DC. According to legend, after he got dealt out, he hopped in his car and drove out of town, never to return. I imagine his personal assistants removed and forwarded all his plasma TVs.

I always consider it good when players from the past stay involved in the game, but very few stars have the temperment for group decision making that administration requires. And frankly, no matter how remarkable he was as a player, he is yesterday's news to younger fans. I think about the only value to having a Michael Jordan as a minority share holder is that he can be dangled in front of the boards of certain corporations that might like to pay for stadium naming rights and buy luxury boxes.

Remember, this is the guy who went to bat for drafting Kwame Brown.

And another thing...

How is it that Jack Ramsey can go on TV and offer draft opinions without anyone bringing up the name "Sam Bowie"? Is it in his contract that he can't be asked about that choice?
