MicroHD no output to tv

I am going to go back to the LONG MINI plug explanation. I am on my second cable. The first one (in less than a week) "broke" in the long mini plug. The fix was to get a NEW one, (from my second box) and now it works. I have not opened my box, but since my second cable is now showing signs of the same thing, I probably will open the box and see if I CAN make it work wit 3 RCA cables.

I opened the box and checked everything under a 10X microscope. I was surprised to see some of the solder connection show what looked somewhat like a cold solder joint. I don't think they are the problem. I also checked the little fingers to make sure they are contacting the plug. I purchased a new cable in the last few days. I checked the old cable and the new with an ohms meter and the check fine...so I don't think they are the problem.
