Minor annoyance - Viewing while in the Guide

Our old analog receiver would still play the current channel while the Guide was being viewed. Our new 811 doesn't. When I push Guide, the guide is all I see, and there is no sound. Not a big deal, but it's annoying. Is there some way to change this?
