The Dish website lists the following sports channels as being offered in HD, but they do not show up as such in my program guide:

Sun Sports HD, NESN HD, CSN New England HD, SportsSouth HD and SportsNet New York HD.

Is anyone else getting these or has Dish jumped the gun in including these on their site?

You only get your local RSN for free in some packages like AT200+ and Turbo HD Silver +. If you want access to out of your area RSN you need to add "Multi-Sports Package" for $5.99 per month. You you will still be subject to normal blackout requirements ie MLB tends to blackout all out of area games so don't except to get those MLB games either way.

What the "Multi-Sports Package" will give you is most of the collage games as most are not blackout anyways.

Even with MultiSports, the above channels aren't 24 hr HD channels. The majority of the time they are in SD.

I've got the multi-sports package and every other conceivable channel that Dish offers, both sd and hd, except the foreign language and porn ones, so those hd channels should at least show up in my guide. I realize that I won't get out-of-market pro sports, which I don't care about, but college football and basketball seasons are approaching and some of those channels carry games that I can't get otherwise, especially NESN, which always has an early ACC football game on for me out here on the west coast.

I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with the Dish website or if I need to call them to get things straightened out on my particular system. Are any of the rest of you who qualify getting these channels in hd, as advertised?

Thanks for any help.

JJ

Well I know I have 22 ATL Sports Channels of which 13 of them are in HD in addition to my local 2 RSN channels which are labeled correct in both SD and HD. I assume durning college football season I will be able to see all the football games shown on all other RSN on those channels like I used to get D* as D* did used not label out of market RSN as ALT Sports channels but with there real names. I assume E* does that because of how they blackout games over how D* does as If I am not mistaken all those ALT channels correspond to an FSN E* carries.

The sports HD channels you are missing are on 61.5. The rest of the sports HD channels are on 129. You must have BOTH 61.5 and 129 if you want to see them all.
