So, Evil Z06 it sounds like your best bet is to get MLB.tv (if you have a good broadband connection). You can get the single team package for $91.99, or the whole-team package for $118.99. This way you will get to see all Mets games, except any that are nationally televised on ESPN.
Thanks for the info...Just curious if anyone knows if they show most of the Met games on MLB Extra Innings

Read zippyfrog's response... it sounds like they do not air most of the Met's games on Dish's Extra Innings.

Correct. Most SNY broadcasts are not. But they are occasionally. If it was 1/5 SNY broadcasts, you will be doing well. Whenever both teams have their games on an RSN that Dish doesn't carry, they typically default to the home team. So when the Phillies or Dodgers are in town, the SNY broadcasts are usually there.

Sometimes. They also sometimes have the YES Yankees feed and NBC Sports Philadelphia Phillies feed. But they look to be feeds from MLB when they do.

but a lot of the Mets games are not in HD. Also many games have the other teams announcers. This year, I just ordered MLBTV.

So you don't get something for free and you immediately want to call Dish greedy. SMH. Is it possible that MLB decided no free preview this year?
I agree that calling Dish greedy may have been a bit extreme....

....however Comcast did have all the games available for free preview yesterday according to my parents who have that awful service. So as I said it is disappointing that Dish did not show the games.

Looks like today's games may be available though, but my team does not play today.

'The sticks' here is less than 20 miles from the capital of one of the largest states in the country and the best we can get is 6/.6 DSL. I think it's amazing how people who happen to have good internet options have no concept of the huge numbers of people across the country who don't.

Well its too bad your internet is slow. You're right I have no concept of slow internet, I wouldn't live in a place that is so technologically behind.

Are there no cell towers in the area? Even with my cell phone I can get higher speeds than that.

It's not that any rural area is "behind." It's that the DEMAND and VOLUME isn't there. A company won't invest millions on infrastructure if only 100 people will sign up for service. I work in IT and choose to live here despite high speed broadband. I get enough of it at work.

So technologically behind? :p For most people there are more important things to consider as to where they live than fast internet. There are literally millions and millions of people across huge areas of the country who don't live in cities and don't have 'fast' internet. If the choice is between living in a city with 'fast' internet or living in the country with it's innumerable other advantages it's pretty much no contest for most of us. I know, you probably think we're deplorable. :p:p:p

We have marginal cell service which isn't really an option.

Time for you to start thanking all those GIs that "choose" to live in areas that are "technologically behind" so you can choose to live where you do. FYI it's not only overseas that those GIs get to live in those "technologically behind" areas.
Clear AFS Alaska, Minot AFB North Dakota, Schriever AFB Colorado etc. etc. etc.

Tired of arrogant city folk who think everybody in "flyover land" is backward and out of touch.

This kind of thing ALMOST makes me want to enter the PIT

Oh no, not the Pit. :eeek

I avoid that place entirely but I bet it's gotten a lot quieter lately with the recent political developments. :)

Oh, and did I mention the views out here on the prairie? No gigabit internet speeds in the city could drag me away from here-

You are exactly right, it won't pencil out. But that's a choice that's made. Good or bad and trade offs. There's nevertheless some options - satellite internet, for example.

And parts of most cities have slow bandwidth as well.

You are going off the deep end here. Simply by stating the facts is not being arrogant. If you do not like the slow internet, then I guess accept it, or not. But life is full of choices. Complaining about it solves nothing.
