NESN (61.5) broadcasts every Sox game in HD, home and away. There have been at least five NESN games not available in HD so far this season (Yesterday's was the most recent). I've seen similar threads for other teams here as well.
Based on this available bandwidth for HD RSNs, when there are an excess number of channels broadcasting a game in HD, are they rotating who's left out or are they actually just making a lot of scheduling mistakes?? Last month I called to try to find out why that night's game wasn't available in HD, the CSR said he was "aware of the problem" and would see if he could "get it fixed". Lo and behold a few hours later, the guide showed the HD was available.
Was it truly a scheduling mistake, or because myself and others called and complained, I wonder if they bumped another game and replace it with the Sox??
