Mobile App/Sling Adapter/DVR Access Problem Figured Out

I have been trying in the 3 weeks or so to get my mobile app to access programming from the channel grid or from my DVR without success. Even when asking for the program to be played on my phone it always played some other channel and never play any of my DVR programming. Others on this board have reported this problem as well. By accident I found out what was happening. Our remote TV (TV2) does not have a box but is a slave to our main reciever. Whenever we watched the TV2 we would only turn the power off to the TV and not turn off the Dish power button. This would have the system think the remote TV was still on. The Sling adapter acts as TV2. Once I turned off the TV2 Dish power button off the mobile app worked the way I thought it was supposed to. It would play the program I chose from the grid, or the program I chose from my DVR. I hope this helps anyone else that is having the same problem. :)
