Mobile me going free?

MobileMe may soon become free

This could be huge as this would make me want a iphone (the 4g) due to the fact that I could video confrence with my wife and kids while I am at work!!!! I dont know if this will happen but it would be AWESOME if it did!

I hope so because at $99 a year its not worth it...

If it were $20 it would be worth it though.

I agree, I had it for a year as I got a special on a family pack when I got my macbook, but I just couldnt force myself to pony up 99 a year for it.

What does mobileme give you that Yahoo or Google do not already do? My calendar, email, etc. are all synced automatically already.

I publish all my movies that I make in iMovie there and share photos that I edit in iphoto.

If I lose my iPhone I can wipe its contents from remote from Mobile Me plus locate the phone using the GPS as well.

I just use the autolock with the 10 try wipe feature.
