Model 3000 Receiver with Dish 500

Just a quick question, I want to start using a legacy dish 500 setup with my camper. I have an old Model 3000 receiver and was wondering if there were any drawbacks with using this receiver with a 500 setup as opposed to using a newer receiver. Can it see all of the available channels?

Yes the 3000 can see all of the channels on a Dish500 system that a DishPro reciever can see.

I believe due to the very limited memory in 3000 DISH has eliminated the Zip Code setup information for locating the satellites. For camping use this may be a major disadvantage.
