Modem Error - Defective STB

Unless I'm wrong, I'm assuming I have a defective stb.

Having received the 726 software update, I hooked my stb up to the phone line and turned on Caller ID. No Caller ID info shows for incoming calls (Yes I subscribe to CID service)

Going into the 988 service menu off the installer menu and running the Modem Setup & Test I received the following responses:

Modem test in progress.
Stopping modem test, Error.
Modem test stopped, Error.

I've done both soft and hard boots in case there was just a reset glich in the modem, no luck.

Anything else to try or am I right in assuming a defective stb?

How hard is it to get a replacement stb from Voom? Do I have to go the whole installer route or will they just ship a box for exchange?

I assume, you have enabled Caller ID via the "*" menu. Right?
Make sure the phone rings at least two times before anyone answers.

No, VOOM will not ship the STB. They will send an installer. It won't cost you anything, but you will have to be at home. So, make sure to schedule for Saturday!
