Momentary audio/video anomaly

Has anyone else experienced this?
Today on Fox News (Ch 205) the audio and video froze for about a second, then the picture jumped from 16:9 to 4:3 for about a second then both audio and video reset to normal. The picture often goes to black for a second after freezing.

At 11:04 am CDT it just happened again and both instances are on the buffer and can and have been replayed.
I believe I have seen it on other channels.

I haven't seen the aspect ratio randomly change on its own. However, relatively recently I've seen very brief video glitches that result in audio dropouts, which can take up to 15 seconds to recover. Seems to consistently happen only on certain channels, which suggests it's not the hard drive that's failing. I take it you've toggled the AC cord without success?

Fox News has had a few glitches like that over the last 2 or 3 days at night from what I have seen on the H3.

Yes I saw this a few times yesterday.

We've been having that issue for weeks. It happens up to 15 times and hour. Dish tried three fixes remotely that did not fix the problem. Tech coming tomorrow, meantime all recordings off to the HDD just in case!

This has been happening to me for a few weeks and this morning its happening on fox business.

Fixed now for the time being.

The tech visit today was great. They checked everything and noted that the H3 was running hotter than normal, a signal that it's on the way out. Replaced it with a NEW one (thought that had ceased!). Six hours later and the problem seems solved... stay tuned.

I've noticed a few freeze frames on Dish lately. As I have 100/100 FiOS FTTH and other WiFi items have shown no problems, I must assume the Dish feed, or the feed TO Dish, has some "concerns."

Newly refurbished, I presume. I don't think Echostar / Dish have manufactured ANY STBs for many years now. I suspect they even have a long supply of Wallys.
