Since we just signed up for service. is there a fee to cancel the locals if we can use an antenna and dongle. i know there's a fee to remove the protection plan under an x amount of time.
best dome dish for the wally box?
is there a capacity limit for an external HDD for the hopper 3?
can our leased hopper with sling be bricked in with our owned hopper 3 to view recordings in other rooms?

There is never a fee to change your programming
Wineguard is probably the more popular choice for a Dome
HDD's on any Hopper are up to 8TB
I'm not sure I understand the last question

You can, another Hopper 3 but you'll have to purchase it.

true that but what about pairing them together so they see each other. though after reading on reddit more than one hopper sometimes they don't play well together!!!
You need a DPP LNBF, and a DPH 42 or 34 switch on every dual-Hopper 3 install.
The "book" calls for a solo hub off of each output, which isolates the DVRs from each other, but if the tech uses a duo-hub, they can interact.
Also, only 1 Hopper can be connected the internet.
They should run fine

Over MOCA, I expect all Hoppers to have an Internet connection.
Well since i like to tinker LOL. it would be interesting to see if two or more hoppers could be converted into one big hopper. and that's using one HDMI input. i heard that it could be done years ago so i want to try it. and they would need to see each other... we were told the hopper don't need an internet connection. i am thinking here a single hopper and no on demand and PPV ordering. though i am thinking everything would need to be tied into my network so they can see each other!!!

I did not know they had increased EHD to 8 TB, it used to be 2 TB.
With one or two 8 TB external drives and an HDMI splitter you could connect multiple TVs to one Hopper 3 with multiple remotes. Everyone would be watching the same content but anyone with a remote could control it. I had mine set up that way for a while minus the EHDs.
With smart TVs it is easy to get Prime or Youtube or almost any streaming service with no Hopper involved. I get better picture that way than through the Hopper.

That's 7 TB total, using as many as it takes to get to 7 (I was mistaken when I said 8)

It was a great day when I could finally watch a show on the MBR Hopper2 from the LR Hopper 2. A feature many of us asked for.

And then, when Dish took that function away- crickets. Except me.

And I've almost finished drinking this sweet refreshing beverage.
