A good friend has an RV satellite system with DN311 and FTA receivers. He is wondering if a dish motor exists that would allow mounting the Dish 500 antenna (with DishPro Twin LNB) on an Portable Tripod? This to allow traveling with just one dish for alternatly pointing to 110/119 or various FTA satellites. Also, I am wondering if Dishnetworks "Skew" setting has any effect on positioning towards other than DN sats.

i'm not 100% clear on your question, and i can't answer the part about a motorized dish but i can tell you...
skew should not make a difference when pointing at only one sat.
and...i've installed many dishes for folks with rv's. i give them a dish 500 with twin for 110/119 and tripod, and teach them how to aim it themselves. best i can do really. the good thing about rv parks is there is likely to be a neighbor somewhere who knows how to aim a dish if you can't do it.

The exact thing you describe does not exist, but RV satellite domes do exist for both stationary and mobile use.

The stationary unit is about $700, the mobile unit is $1,400-$1,900.

Look for KingDome, or TracVision.

I did a Google search on RV Dish.
