moving a receiver

Hey folks, is it pretty simple to move a reciever from one room to another? As long as the cabling is there? How long will the receiver take to reboot and have all the guide info. on it? I don't have to call anyone when I move it, correct?

No you do not have to call anyone. Just re-route your cable or add. Then just hook it up. It depends on which model receiver you have but it only takes 3-4 mins to re-boot.

Just curious. If I brought it to another location that had the right sat. dish, would it work? As long as the same card is in it?
