I'm looking to have Dish replace my 942 with a 622 because of the MPEG2 HD channels going away.
In order to have dish swap it out without having to do a contract, I have to have an installer do it. For some reason a self-install requires a contract.

Currently my service address is in Franklin County, allowing me to get Washington HD locals in addition to the Harrisburg locals that my real/billing address gives me.

I have several timers set to the Washington HD locals. With summer in full swing, I won't miss anything recording, but I'd hate to lose the timers.
If I "move" back to my billing address, will the timers be deleted? Or preferably just be incorrect times and then go back to normal when I "move" back after the upgrade?

ever figure this out?
No, not gotten any answers on it.
I'll probably have to just chance it, and write down all my timers just in case.
btw - love the old flames logo!
thanks, I grew up with the old Atlanta Flames as a kid. Was pissed when they were sold out from under us to someone in Calgary.

and that calgary version never cut it for me.... at least the honored the original flames with the A...

with the new rcvr you are going to have to reset all of your timers anyway. the old timers go with the old rcvr.
The receiver with the timers is a 622 and not being replaced. I probably should have been more clear in my posting about that.

I have a 942 in the kid's playroom that will be the one being replaced. I personally don't care about the 20 different timers that it has for Spongbob. ;)
