I am moving to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia soon. My new home will be at 3.1N and 101.7E. Will it be possible to get a signal with my Directv Satellite Dish?

as volmaul said not a chance for a few reasons

1. the earth is round
2. directv can only sell to US addresses
3. The footprint covers US/parts of Canada/Mexico

You would need to get ASTRO if you want Sat TV in that country.

Why are you moving from Dallas to Malaysia ?

Good job offer ?

Deported ?

Hiding from the mob ?

Witness protection program ?

Better food ?

with your KA/Ku or 18" no way.. if you can find a 20meter dish .. no way elivation is -70..

But you can watch your directv if you wish .

install service at your moms house and get her high speed internet.

install Slingbox HD at moms to directv box and then get slinger (or a pc with hdmi out) and high speed in your new location and enjoy tv from home...

You can do it many other ways but sling box is the ez way of doing it.. Even the Geek Squad can fix it if it goes down when your out.

Enjoy the poor quality programming from Malaysia and Singapore. Even the natives do not watch them.
