Multi-Dish Switch

I have an old 4900 receiver and for the past several days I have been
having problems with one of the satellites not locking on. I get messages
to do a multi-dish switch test which I do but problem keeps coming up.
Any suggestions?????? Thanks

It is really time to upgrade your receiver. In fact, you probably should be looking to an upgrade to Eastern Arc. That is the future for the east coast customers.

Hey! That 4900 was an oldie but a goodie. (I still have one too, not currently authorized on my account.)

What other receivers do you have? If more than one, swap them around. You are trying to see whether another receiver works OK on that particular cable and switch port. It is possible your 4900 is OK but your switch (or cables) are going out.

I assumed Alabama would not be on 129.
