Multi view comes to Hopper Plus and Joey 4 Receivers!

I can watch Multi-view with two Joey 4s at the same. One WJ4 is linked to my H3 and my J4 is linked to my H3+. So only one Multi-view per Hopper..
That's good and thanks for answering the million dollar question. Does this mean your Multi-View works correctly now? Am I correct you can actually have 4 Multi-Views running at the same time meaning the H3, WJ4 linked to H3, H3+ and J4 linked to H3+?

No, only 2 at the same time. One per Hopper.

I asked that because earlier in the thread, I believe you and others said who had a Hopper 3 and a Wired/Wireless Joey 4 that one of the Joey 4's and the Hopper 3 that the Joey 4 is connected to was able both do multi-view at once and it just won't let you do it on a 2nd Joey connected to the same Hopper 3.

Only one Multi-view at a time. Either on the Hopper or on the Joey. Both Hopper and Joey can not do Multi-view at same time.

My set up is simplified and consists of one Hopper 3 and one Joey 4.

I'm using Dish Pro Hybrid 34 switch to solo hub.

I can do MultiView on both the Hopper 3 and the Joey 4 at the SAME TIME.

I mention the switch and the hub in case they are pertinent to how this works because I don't know.

I changed to a simplified set up.

I am no longer using two Hopper 3s like I used to just to get MultiView on a second TV.

I now only have to two TVs connected to Dish.

One Hopper 3 and one Joey 4.

I simplified and reduced the number of Hopper 3s and Joeys long before this update that brought MultiView to the Joey 4 having no idea there would ever be an update to the Joey 4 that would bring MultiView.

MultiView update on the Joey 4 is really great !!!

The MultiView update makes having the Joey 4 like having second Hopper 3 without having a second Hopper3.

I am able to do MultiView on my Joey 4 and my Hopper 3 at the same time.

OK, thanks for the info. I'm out and about. I will retest Muti-view in my setup tomorrow and post back.

I cannot do Multi-view on my Joey 4 and Hopper 3 at the same time. Strange you can and I can't. Must be an issue in my setup.

I have got no idea why it works?

Is it because of the solo hub and having only one Joey 4 and one Hopper 3 connected?

My one Joey 4 can only see my one Hopper 3.

I would now like to connect another TV by adding another Joey 4 but this could affect the ability to do MultiView simultaneously on my Hopper 3 and Joey 4.

I have not tried the Hopper Plus but am interested if it has MultiView.

Caveat, I don't want to mess up what I have because it is great.

I have a Hopper3, and 4 Joey4s.
I can use Multi-View on the Hopper and one Joey at the same time. No problem.

If I attempt to do another Multi-view on a a different Joey, I get a message asking if I want to end that other Joey's session.

If you have a PLUS on your Hopper, I'm pretty sure that would limit you to one multi-view session. Is that the issue for the folks who are reporting that?

There is something wrong with Multi-view in my Hopper 3 Plus. It comes on for about 2 seconds and then converts back to single screen. In my other Hopper 3 setup, Multi-view works good for the Hopper and Joey 4, but only one at a time. Can't see Multi-view on both at same time.

Multi-view is not working correctly in my Hopper 3 Plus. It comes on for about 2 seconds then goes into single mode. In my other Hopper 3 setup, Multi-view works good, but I can't do it and Joey 4 at the same time. Must be something in my setup causing the the issue.

I may add another TV to my account using another Joey 4.
I didn't want to lose the ability to do MultiView simultaneously on the Hopper 3 and the Joey 4 if I add another Joe 4.
Good to know.
