MX-780 remote and hopper (please help)

I just upgraded to a mx-780 remote.
The hopper is in a cabinet behind glass. My new remote wont work
it unless the glass door is open. I have an IR repeater hooked up.
Where should I apply the little sticky thing? Everything else works great
in the cabinet but the hopper. IR is lit up green enabled in remote setup
on the hopper.

I had a monster remote previously, that worked fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Know nothing about that remote. In fact, first I've heard of it. Does it program via database like Harmony?

IR sensor is to the left of the green light if i recall. Otherwise right, but not on center
