E* did not decide to end Voom as a separate package. Voom did. They require all companies that sign on or renew to include it as part of their basic HD tier. Do a search, this has been discussed before.

First time I'd heard this...

It was my impression that DishNetwork bought Voom and it was DishNetworks decision to include ALL the HD offerings in one package.

E* has invested in Voom- they did not buy all of it or a controlling interest.

I don't watch much of the Voom channels just now- time constraints. But Equator is beautiful!
