I would have put this on the Dish HD forum but yesterday I showed my brother a recording of this problem and he has had the same thing happen 180 miles away on Time Warner Cable in L.A.
During three primetime NBC shows the dialog has disappeared and the music and sound effects (traffic noise, birds etc) stays. And the commercials are not effected.
It has happened twice during "ER" and one during "Life". And each time it lasted for more than 10 minutes.
This is completely unbelievable on the face of it. How could the dialog track be gone when nothing else is? The only thing I can imagine is SAP kicks in and there isn't any voice track available. But this all seems so improbable.
