Need help choosing dish for roof

Hi guys. I'm looking to order a dish from one of the site sponsors, and I'm not 100% sure exactly what I want / need. Basically, I'm picking up a HR23, and I'm not interested in internationals or locals (if they are there, fine, but if not, its not big deal) although HD is definitely a requirement. At this point in time, the HR23 will be the only receiver on the system, although I may add two more non-DVRs at a later point in time.

I was thinking that all I need is an AU9 SL3 SWM with a power supply and SWS-8 splitter (ie the AU9-SL3-SWM-B-PWS at SolidSignal.com).

Using Direct's installers is not an option due to my location.

Any comments, thoughts, or theories?

That dish should work well for you. Just make sure any future receivers you get are SWM capable. Look at the videos on that site to learn how to align the dish. Check http://dishpointer.com to find out the alignment values.

Make sure you use monopoles with that dish!

Right. I even used the monopoles on my relocated pole mount to stiffen it more.

I can't picture how you would use monopoles with a pole mount. How about a picture?

Ah, I remember seeing it now. With how short the pole is, I doubt the monopoles make any difference, but they certainly don't hurt.
