Does the dish pro plus 500+ require power supply?

The DPP 500+ does not require a power supply, on your check switch screen you should see DB+ as your lnb type for 119/110/118.

If it say something else, then disconnect cable from receiver and run check switch to clear matrix, after it's finished save it, this test will take aprox 20 minutes.
the reconnect the sat coax to the receiver. As for aim and signal on the dish you should use port #2 on the lnb and aim for 110 sat.

A 311k is intended to be a single tuner receiver, Dish the el-cheapos that they are converted old 322 receivers which were dual tuners to singles. If I remember right from my Dish days, you can hook up with seperator, run a line to tv2, go into menu and "Restore Default" settings and I think you can make a 311K a 322 dual tuner again, great for 2 tv's and only paying for 1. You'd need a tv 2 remote though.

It only needs one sat feed. It auto detects which tuner has the input.
