I am in the process of rerouting my cable from the DISH into another room so I can watch it on my kitchen TV. The cable is now in my home but i do not want to have a long stretch of cable showing on my floor against the wall going to that kitchen tv. I cannot get to the antenna on the roof, too high and i have Vertigo anyway...i got the wire pulled out to the entrance of the brick wall where the installer made a hole for it. The tip of the cable cannot be pulled through that opening, so I thought of cutting the cable and add a pin gadget to it. Sorry i do not know what they call the head of the cable....Is there a way that this can be done inexpensively and a DIY job?

Go ahead and cut the end off. You can buy new ends from Radio Shack. They only cost a couple of dollars for a pack of 5. You generally use a crimper to reconnect them, but it can be done with a pliars if you are careful and take it slow.
